Bridge 75 Abseil Challenge

Join us in the beautiful Derbyshire Peak District National Park on Sunday 15 July for an adrenaline fueled abseil off a 25m viaduct over the River Wye, raising much-needed funds for Derbyshire Cave Rescue Organisation.

Where?

5 mins off the A6 between Bakewell and Buxton at Bridge 75 viaduct,Millers Dale, Wormhill, Derbyshire, SK17 8SN. Park at Millers Dale Railway Station car park on the Monsal Trail.

When?

Postponed! We will let you know when it’s rearranged.

How much will it cost me?

There is a £20 registration fee and we also ask that you pledge to raise at least £50 including your registration fee.

How do I enter?

Simply register your name and a contact phone number with Mick Earle, Chairman, DCRO by email at chairman@derbyshirecro.org.uk. Mick will call you back to book you (and any additional abseilers in your party) into specific time slots during the day, he will explain how you can pay the registration fee and collect your sponsorship.

Is there an age limit?

There is no upper age limit for abseiling. Younger abseilers aged 16 or less must be accompanied by a parent or guardian (who doesn’t need to do the abseil!).

Who are the instructors/supervisors?

The abseil will be run by professional instructors who are appropriately qualified and hold the appropriate Public Liability insurance. All our instructors providing abseiling at Bridge 75 hold a permit to do so issued by the Peak District National Park Authority.

Is it scary?

Yes of course it’s scary! If itwasn’t scary it wouldn’t be an adventure would it!
